A mudança para o horário de verão traz entusiasmo e alegria com dias mais longos e cheios de potencial! Começámos às 10h na Quinta das Castelhanas para colher e aprender sobre ervas e plantas, que o Chef João Oliveira combinou deliciosamente para o almoço e seguímos levados por histórias que cruzaram o passado, o presente e lançaram ideias para um futuro mais bonito. 
O Beltane, celebração celta, marcava o início do verão, a fertilidade da terra e o renascimento da natureza. No Algarve, a tradição persiste nas Maias, com flores, música e piqueniques que celebram os ciclos naturais e fortalecem os laços sociais. Ligada ao Dia do Trabalhador, ambas exaltam valores como solidariedade, cooperação e respeito pela terra, promovendo a harmonia entre a humanidade e o mundo natural e mantendo vivas as conexões culturais e espirituais com a natureza.

The switch to daylight saving time brings excitement and joy, with longer days full of potential! We began at 10 a.m. at Quinta das Castelhanas, gathering and learning about herbs and plants, which Chef João Oliveira skillfully combined into a delicious lunch. We then followed stories that wove together the past, present, and inspiring ideas for a brighter future.
Beltane, a Celtic celebration, marked the beginning of summer, the fertility of the land, and the rebirth of nature. In the Algarve, the tradition lives on through the Maias, with flowers, music, and picnics that honor natural cycles and strengthen social bonds. Linked to International Workers' Day, both celebrations highlight values such as solidarity, cooperation, and respect for the earth, fostering harmony between humanity and the natural world and preserving cultural and spiritual connections with nature.
