Meta_ é Mariana Bragada a alquimizar as suas raízes para criar asas. Com mais de meio milhão de ouvintes em 2024 no Spotify, a cantora, compositora e produtor transmontana cresceu a ouvir o sussurrar da lua e o crepitar de conversas dos mais velhos, à lareira, na aldeia.
Foi nos entretempos e na devoção dos cânticos das avós que foi ensinada a fazer mesmo.
Meta_ funde sua poderosa voz ancestral com música eletrónica e orgânica e percussão tradicional criando uma paisagem sonora única que lembra uma sensação agridoce e esperançosa de memórias futuras.
O seu álbum de estreia “XIV - A Integração” foi lançado em maio de 2023 pela editora argentina ShikaShika, estreando-o com banda no Primavera Sound Porto.
A Viagem até à Meta levou-nos também a conhecer o livro que lançou em 2022, em colaboração com o seu pai, José Bragada, um olhar profundo sobre o património imaterial da Aldeia Grijó da Parada, a aldeia natal do seu pai, situada no nordeste de Portugal.

Meta_ is Mariana Bragada alchemizing her roots to create wings. With over half a million listeners on Spotify in 2024, the singer, songwriter, and producer from Trás-os-Montes grew up listening to the whisper of the moon and the crackling of elders' conversations by the fireplace in the village. It was in the in-between moments and through the devotion to her grandmothers’ songs that she learned how to truly create.
Meta_ blends her powerful ancestral voice with electronic and organic music and traditional percussion, crafting a unique soundscape that evokes a bittersweet and hopeful feeling of future memories.
Her debut album "XIV - A Integração" was released in May 2023 by the Argentine label ShikaShika, and she premiered it with a full band at Primavera Sound Porto.
The journey to Meta_ also introduced us to the book she launched in 2022, in collaboration with her father, José Bragada — a profound look into the intangible heritage of the village of Grijó da Parada, her father’s hometown, located in the northeast of Portugal.
